I think it had something to do with the test drive. Or the look on the salesman'* face during the test drive.

Good reliable car at the worlds cheapest prices. The value of a Bonneville is amazing. In the Northeast they are everywhere and SSEi'* are fairly plentiful.

Hmm, your car?

I was just curious as to why all of you love Bonnevilles, because when a lot of people (or my parents at least) think of Bonnevilles, they think of just another family sedan that competes with an old, P.O.*. Taurus. They always ask me, why, of all things, a Bonneville?! I never quite know how to answer.

The Bonneville is of a style, size, ride, and comfort that the Taurus never had. A Crown Vic or Ford 500 comes alot closer but still not a Sport Luxury Sedan. Especially in the SSEi/GXP trim levels.

Where do I start?

I drive a Bonneville GXP. I'm 24 years old and have owned it for 2-3 years now. Not a day has gone by that I have regretted buying this car, and here'* why.

I wanted a large car that I could take my friends out with, or one that I could go on a date with my wife with. I wanted something that would fit 5 comfortably, yet be fast, and feel great.

1. The cockpit type view of the driver instrument clusters is amazing. For some people it feels overwhelming, but I absolutely LOVE it.

2. As previously pointed out, this car is SEX. Sex on wheels that is, and that'* what my signature has said for a long time. You will be very hard pressed to find another 4 door sedan that looks better than this, at this price point.

3. Arguably the best looking factory wheels ever put on a GM car.

4. I've had my fair share of problems with my car, but this is higher up in build quality than any w-body I have ever worked on, and has a very reliable drivetrain.

5. It looks like sex, and it also sounds like sex. If you've ever heard a Bonneville GXP'* Northstar roar at wide open throttle, you'll know what I mean.

6. 4T80E

7. Very few other 4 door stock appearance cars made around 2005 will turn as many heads of as many age groups as a Bonneville GXP. This car stands out.

8. Its a Pontiac.

Might I add, a taurus is bland and boring. My Bonneville GXP has passion, excitement. Its a fun car, its an uncommon car, and I feel happy when I get behind the steering wheel. If women were cars, I'd feel like I'm driving a supermodel. There'* this sense of "God I love this car" that makes any minor defects disappear. Very few other cars inspire that level of passion, awe, and excitement. F-bodies are everywhere, corvettes are everywhere, but Bonneville GXP'* were limited production and when they're 20 years old, people will look back and say, GM screwed up a lot of cars in 2005, but they sure did this one right. I look forward to turning that key in the morning. I look forward to every opportunity to drive this car, even if its to run to the grocery store. There are very few cars out there that share this level of awesomeness.
