Default What were the center console buttons for on later SSEis? +

My now defunct SSE has 5 button cutouts next to the gearshift. One is taken by my traction control toggle, 4 are filled with blanks. What were these options? I am planning a full L67 swap for my car, 70,400 miles and cherry inside and out. I have the HUD, self leveling suspension... I haven't gotten around to checking the sticker for what suspension package I have but that will get tweaked further down the road.

I also have another question. Did the SSEis get a performance shift option like the GTPs of the same years? I'm wondering what I will have to wire to my old harness, or what I may have to route with my new harness (I have been told I can use my L36 harness with the new L67 dropout from the same year car -'99- and only have to run 2 new wires to get it to work... but I'm interested in carrying over all that I can. If I have to use an SSEi harness, the merrier for me :p) I haven't picked up an FSM yet, so I haven't seen any wiring on paper. I'm planning on adding an aftermarket boost gauge later, most likely a multiple LED screen depending on what PCM manager I want to use.

Any tips and/or info is much appreciated Thanks for readin all.

two of those empty panels are for the performance shift/normal shift buttons, and the other two are for the CCR (Ride Control). I think that answers your other question as well

get a SSEI PCM, to contoroll everything.....MUCH easier doing it this way......you can use your L36 harness and convery BUT you might want to just find a full SSEI harness and make it that much easier

also, your going to need the Trans from a Supercharged vehicle also

Performance shift, is the same as Shifting in your car. But when you're out of performance shift mode in an SSEi, it'* dumbing it down over the standard programming.

I would agree with pat, getting a cluster, harnesses, and pcm would be the best, more OE solution, and come with the least amount of headaches overtime.

Yeah, I was quoted $2200 for an SSEi dropout, 42k mi, 1999 (same year) includes engine and tranny still assembled including all accessories, PCM, wiring harness and axles. Not a bad deal?

I can live without the cluster for the only difference I see is the boost gauge. Change the whole cluster for a boost guage? Last time I remember I didn't think we needed a boost gauge for an L67 to run.
