Need some help with misc. parts.
Where would be a good place to find some interior pieces for a 1993 bonneville? I purchase this car for my son who will be 16 in a few months. We've gutted the interior down to bare metal, now we are putting it back together. Specifically we are in need of plastic rivets, and clips to hold the various interior panels and trim in place. Most of them we were able to salvage, but some of them were to brittle to get out without cracking them. Haven't been able to find any so far, and I don't know what some of these pieces would be called. Clips/rivets/pins? Tried a junk 93 but the color was wrong, and most of those parts were brittle and broken as well.
One other question, we replaced a good portion of the interior pieces, and now we are down to replacing the carpet. Is the preformed carpet a better option to go with than the rolls of auto carpet you can buy? If not, is there one place that sells a better fittng carpet than another? I did find a couple vendors on the web for this, but it'* hard to tell if it'* just a drop in replacement carpet, with pad/without pad, so forth. If it'* formed already I'm guessing it would have to come in a very large box?
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated!

I've actually ripped apart my car similarly to what you are describing, and I had to get a new carpet because mine was very disturbing. I got my carpet from http://www.stockinteriors.com/, and it came in preformed. I think it'* either just as good as new or even better! It even comes with (perhaps asbestos) padding at the foot resting areas. The only "thing" about it is that it had no cuts for the center console or seat stud holes. Those were taken care of by a friend of mine while I handled other matters, but it seems easy enough. He just used a pair of surgical scissors.
As for the plastic bits and pieces, take the many types you have to auto stores like NAPA, Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, etc., and ask them for their packets of such plastic retainers and clips. Auto Zone has their plastic clips in bulk in boxes hanging off a display at an aisle end, usually.

Try www.jcwhitney.com for the carpet.
Take the broken clips with you to any auto parts store and compare them to the ones on the rack in the HELP section. They have them.
