Question Pre-production wheel sizes

Anyone know the size of the wheels on the pre-production GXP?
It appears to slightly larger than the stock, so possibly 19'*?

I found these wheels that seem pretty close to them.
Anyone have these (or similar to the pre-production wheels)

I saw elsewhere on the forum that the Mille and the ZNA style 320 were similar.

Anyone have pics of these on their GXP?

Hope I posted in the right section!

Thanks!

Have you looked at the numbers on the side of your tire? They should be something like 245/40/19R The first number is the width of the thread in MM, the second number is the % of the sidewall hight relative to the thread width, the 3rd number is the wheel size.

Actually, I meant the "pre-production" meaning, sort of like the prototype.
Here is a picture of a pre-production Bonneville GXP. This is not the actual version that came out. They are different than the wheels that came on the production model.
I was wondering about the wheels/sizes.

Thanks for the reply

I don't know GXP, but I do know pre-production vehicles at GM. I work on them all the time. I suspect it will be difficult to answer your question since there are about 12 (sometimes more) levels of pre-production vehicles. The first the public gets to see are the concept cars, but once a car moves into development for production and gets beyond the clay model stages (where body lines, features, and part break ups are finalized) there are cubing fixtures, body bucks, prototype, pre-production builds, match event builds, non-salable, and salable, just to name a few. Some of the earlier vehicles are produced at the Build Center in Warren Michigan, some are produced off-line at the assembly plant, and the final 2 or 3 levels are produced in limited runs on the assembly line. New vehicles are not deemed ready for distribution until after salable builds and the vehicles are approved for "ship to commerce".

All of which is a very long way to say "pre-production" can mean a variety of vehicle levels. Are you referring to your vehicle? Do you have reason to believe you have a pre-production vehicle? Any vehicle licensed and on the road would have to be from salable builds, since anything prior to that level cannot be legally driven and are supposed to be crushed. Salable build vehicles are supposed to be production representative in every way, and are the vehicles GM uses to get internal and external approvals necessary to move into production. Therefore, if there is a pre-production vehicle on the road, it should be the same as a production vehicle.

Why are you asking?

Thanks for the replies

Sorry for the confusion. Please just use the link of the pre-production GXP that was in the previous post and the one in this post (same link)

I have a 'stock' Bonneville GXP. I like the wheels on this pre-production GXP. The wheels on this car are not the ones, on any GXP'* that were sold. The wheels on the GXP in the link above, are wheels that I like.
In all the pics I've seen of the pre-production GXP, those wheels are on it.

I was just wondering if anyone read somewhere, where they had the size of those wheels?
They appear to be 19'*(?). The stock GXP has 18'*.

I was thinking of getting a set of the kv5'* which resemble the one'* that are shown on the pre-production model.

Sounds like you have a cool job 2kg4u!

The wheels on that Bonne you posted are 20s. 245/35/20 would be the correct tire to run.

I also found this pic.

If I had to guess, I would also say they were 19s. I had 20'* on the rear of my C5 and you definitely notice 20" wheels, especially going from 18'*.

But, I thought possibly they might be 20s since the wheel wells are so big on the BV.
