What years?

What years and what sub models have the on-board computer with like oil life sensors...but mostly gas sensors...how much is left, current mpg...avg mpg....ETC!!! Thanks :D

2000 and newer only.

Oil life was available on some 89-91 SSE's. But not fuel.

Yeah im pretty sure you would know....

BUT, what about Park Avenues? Does anyone know abou them?

willwren 03-19-2006 01:06 AM

Park Avenues are bigger, fatter, and slower, and handle like boats. :D

Now I'm inviting the wrath of our PA members. I have no idea if they had it or not.

yeah i know they handle like boats...i tried to take a corner like i do in my bonne with a '90 Electra Park Ave...well...lets just say, tha corner didn't quite work as planned :? Same body but totally different handling...

NOT the same body. PA's are C bodies, we're H bodies. Think of a C body as a stretched H.

Well, the 'oil life' on the SSE is basic in that it's not a 'sensor'. You just reset the DIC every time you change you oil or do any of the multitude of maintainence functions that you can set ;) Don't know how it is on the 2000...

Me personally, the mileage timers get set to something ridiculous (high), and things get done as needed. If the oil is dirty/old, it comes out, whether or not it's reached what would have been the preset DIC setting. Don's philosophy ;)
