Default Consensus of Best GM OBD-2 Scanner to Date

Can I get a Consensus on the Best GM OBD-2 Scanner to Date
based on those using them for personnel use ... and cost less
then $250.00.

I have checked out this thread:
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ht=code+reader
and am leaning towards the LS1M – Palm Scanner for
my 1996 and 1998 Bonneville SE.

Words of advise would be great before I buy.

Thanks,

Pete W.

Although not necessarily related to your question, I'll stay on topic: If you just need to read and reset codes, it'* hard to beat the Harbor Freight OBDII reader. I have one, and generally keep it in the glovebox. It'* hard to beat for the price.

I bought an LS1M for use with my Regal and was pleasantly surprised to find it works just as well with the Bonneville. I have no complaints about it.

If just looking to scan and clear codes only, there is an Actron you can get for about $100

I was having issues and tend to over buy.

I went out of the price range for the topic starter...but love my Autotap.

A couple of other members have stopped by to use it, but the only thing it'* told me is "Hey dumass, you forgot o lpuf in your IAT"
