How to remove an engine from a trailer with no hoist:
Hoist isn't here yet. Had to get the engine off my trailer and onto the stand anyway. (Please ignore the damage to the trailer, it was impacted by an idiot while being towed by a friend, and will be fixed this coming weekend):
I designed and built this trailer about 8 years ago. Specifically with a SLIGHT center of gravity forward of the axle. My weight is JUST enough to tip it to the rear if I stand at the very back. So I also built in the 'rear landing gear' you see above. I had the engine loaded to the rear, dropped one of the rear legs, unhitched, and let it down to the foot. Attached the plate of the stand to the motor, lined up the stand, kicked the leg out, and let the trailer/engine down untill they lined up, then pulled the trailer/engine back until the stand could 'recieve' the plate.
Done in 10 minutes.
(certified oil pressure, all 6 cylinders are within 5psi of 175psi compression, from a 95 Buick Riviera)

Paint booth for both hoods, front and rear bumper cover on the Z, and a couple other small items. Plastic sheeting is cheap, and my garage stays warm all winter. Water heater and furnace are out there.
Miles on the motor? Unknown. But with the certified compression (listed above) and certified oil pressure, I don't care.

With the good compression of the motor and being so close across the board this motor is not abused or neglected.. Should be a good one..
