What to do, what to do???

Here is the deal. I have straightened out most of the information needed for my insurance claim on my stolen system. The rough estimate goes like this:

$55 12" RF Woofer
$55 12" RF Woofer
$85 Dual Sub Box
$220 Sony 50wx2 ES Amp
$50 3way Elec Crossover
$22 Aeroport Kit
$359 Pionerr Head Unit
$846 Total
-$100 Deductible
$746 In Pocket

Now that said, I also had 2 PC cooling fans ($20), 1 relay ($15), 1 GM deck install kit ($15), 1 RF 2 channel amp that was a gift (no documentation on this except a picture of it installed, value estimated at $50), and some misc wires.

Do I just take the $746 and call it good, or do I try to push for more of the other stuff? The $746 is close to what I was hopeing to get, but there is still stuff I wouldn't be reimbursed for. The documents I recieved state that items such as receipts are REQUIRED for claiming any item. All the secondary list items have no documentation at all.

So should I (as Stever Miller said) take the money and run? or keep pushing for more? Remeber, if I go for more it will take alot longer for me to try to get enough documentation for it to work, and it's not that much money for them. If I take what I can get now, I can submitt the claim paperwork in a day or so instead then.

Considering the situation, another $50 bucks is not that bad. Taking a look at all that eqiupment that is being replaced having to shell out another fifty beans is alright.

0.02 cents....lol, nowhere near $50 :D

Did you install it all yourself? What about labor costs if not?

Yea, I installed it all myself so the chances of geting any installation costs covered is very slim.

Being the impatient being that I am when it comes to things like this, I say take the check and laugh all the way to Audio King. Or wherever else you want to get stuff.

Update!

I had posted a picture of my RF amp on the RF forum to see if anyone could id it. Read this linked thread and then tell me if I should still just let this amp go...

Having just gone through a similar experience, I know your insurance is not going to give you any more. You should "go on, take the money and run!". It is not worth your time if you don't have reciepts. However, if you do decide to proceed, I did get reimbursed for some of my items without reciepts. They asked for replacement cost--so I contacted the manufacturer (via internet/email) and they directed me to a comparable replacement item (comparable in features did not mean comparable in ranking at the time--what was once top-of the line is now obsolete). Even though that particular item cost $900 new, the replacement was only $250. As long as you have documentation that you owned the equipment in question, and you provide the written statement from the manufacturer, you may have a slight chance at recovering some of the additional value.

Thats not bad money, most of the time you wont get much at all, having a brand new CD Player really upped that up. Now this time, have them show you how to pull off the faceplate!

I'm not sure.... it's really up to you SSEi95....

If you feel like fighting for that extra $50~$100 that you might get... by all means....
But if you just feel like enough is enough and want to get back to fixing your car up... I'd just take the money, and put her back together.
