Waxing our cars.
This is a hard car to wax, I plan on doing mine tommorrow.

Yeah, the last time I waxed mine, I just did from the plastic up. My main goal that time, thugh, was to get under the removable stuff (Wing, front plate, etc)
Need to do a good pre-winter job soon, tho. |

Last time I did mine took 6 hours (3 step process, clean, polish, wax) and my neighbor and I went though about 8 bottles of our 12 pack (mostly him...)

I did mine the ghetto way. I had some Meguiars wax in a tin can with the sponge and I waxed the whole car, including the windows and the dashboard plastic. I then let the car sit for 16 hours ( I started 3 pm on a Friday and took it off on Saturday about 7am in the morning before the day goes on.) I then used an old T-shirt to wax off. It wasn't a problem for me at all. On the black car, I used to wax that car once a month faithfully fo a year. I heard that wasn't good, thats why I stopped.

Hell, a six-pack's GONE before I even start!!!

Randallons, I hadn't scrolled down far enought to see you car. So when I read your first post This is a hard car to wax, I plan on doing mine tommorrow. I thought that you were talking about the train. :shake: Oh occasionally I am ditsy blonde...no offense to blondes. But I even sometimes even amaze myself... :duh: I was laughing so hard that I was crying. :spin2:
|
Yeah, that train does need to be waxed washed buffed spray painted  and detailed.

The body change in 96 made it easier. The dips in the lower trim on the SSE/SLE/SSEi are round, kinda finger-width. On the 92-95, there are sharper corners all the way around. It's a PITA.
|
I can honestly say I have experienced both.
