Buying a new-to-me Bonnie.... help.
Hey guys, Im thinkin about buying a new Bonnie and I was wondering what year should I go for when buying a used Bonnieville? Any help or tips is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If your looking at a 1992 make sure its the SSEi, why? Because, the 92 non supercharged 3.8s did not have an EGR valve, problem: Burnt exhaust valves, unless your a mechanic, you might consider otherwise. 1993 was a good year for all models. You could still scan it for codes your self with a paper clip, like in 1992, and the options were the same.
My opinion is 1992 SSEi or a 1993 SE SLE SSE SSEi.

LoL, I have a 92 SE and I did not know that. Should I be concerned about my current Bonnie? I am not a mechanic and I dont wanna shell out major $ to get her ready for resale.....

Meanwhile, whats wrong with a late model Bonnie? Im thinkin 98 and up....

well, the series 2 naturally aspirated ones have the upper intake problem
i have almost 145,000 miles...the last 20,000 have been hard miles(cause ive been drivin it) and im still on the original upper intake...*crosses fingers*

Series 2 (96+). If you want performance and cheap modibilility get an SSEi. If you want a nice ride with a lot of options get the SSE or SLE. If you want something with a warranty get an 00+ model.
