Bonneville To Cease Production! (READ ME)
EDITED BY ADMIN:
In an effort to stop the insanity of rumors about the demise of the Bonneville, this is a PLEA for all members to stop spreading rumors, even if it seems to come from an 'official' source.
For every 'official' rumor you come up with, I can find 5 more that prove it wrong from equally 'official' sources.
Contrary to popular belief, GM has NOT officially made a decision or announcement as of February, 2005.
NOTHING IS CONFIRMED SO PLEASE STOP RUNNING AROUND THE FIRE SCREAMING FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Thank you for your cooperation in controlling these rumors. Members, please link any post regarding these rumors to THIS topic, and notify an Admin or Modderator to lock each new topic.

Yea, My dad owns an electroplating company and we got a letter head from GM saying that. We did some badges for them [SSEI/SLE chrome], and the Prix line. Sad day in bonne history folks...

Ok, this one gets stickified.....PLEASE not again.
Folks, there are conflicting stories and news releases, but the long and short of it is that GM has not OFFICIALLY released one story that they stuck to.
As near as I can determine, the Bonneville will either be RWD in 2006, or be REBADGED or replaced by the G8. In that case, we add another section for G8 and go on. It'* unfortunate that the Bonneville MIGHT NOT make it to the 50th anniversary in 07, but we don't really know.
The Admins have a little bit of inside information that seems to be more accurate than the releases and rumors, so don't worry about it yet. The sky might fall tomorrow, too.
History of the Bonneville:
1956 Star Chief was rebadged and sold as the Bonneville in 1957.
It might be rebadged the G8 in 2006.

I'm holding out hope until i hear it from the horses mouth......
I believe..... I do believe....
I will never give up.......
They've gotta have a 2007 model... they just gotta.... it'll be the 50th....
Maybe they'll kill it for a year... and bring it back... revamped and all 50th edition done up.... that would be cool..
I just need my 50th anniversary edition.....
It'* not over, until it'* over!!!
(and it'* NOT over)

Is it really a 50th if they're missing a year?
I know buyers won't really be missing it anyways. less then 30k units last year is horrible. Besides the GP has a real V8 now, that will walk over GXPs.
