Default Replacing mirror

Not this winter, but the winter before, a lovely Doe attempted to play chicken with me one night. We both lost. Her hind quarters clipped my passenger side mirror and ripped it off.

I went up to the junkyard today and found a WHITE(what is it with me and white cars?) 1997 Bonneville SE with power mirrors. Cool. $24 later, I had me a new mirror.

Stopped off at the parts store and grabbed a can of black and a can of clear coat. $23 for the paint.

I'll do a little bit of sanding and put the first coat on.

Ahhh Shooot!!

Now the new mirror looks better than the mirror already installed. Guess I'll take that one off tomorrow and do that one up too!

That'* with 3 coats of black, and 3 coats of clear. Came out better then expected. Guess I'll use this paint more often.

Installed the mirror this morning. I just finished washing the car when I realized I needed to take a picture of it installed...

I had just washed it like 20 minutes prior to taking that last picture.
