Heated Seats from Cadillac
As many of you remember recently Jimmyfloyd found a caddy w/heated seats. While on the phone with him during the removal I found a caddy with the same.
He found the wiring for them and today I checked mine out to make sure they work before putting them in....Here'* the "what not to do at home kids" version of testing your seat heaters.
You can't tell that they are on..but they are....
I checked all 8 heating elements and they all work. Guess I'm off to walmart for toothpaste and a seam ripper to pull them off the leather.

Yea... bill has seemingly almost taken the lead on this. Must be nice to not have homework and school to worry about. 
I figure I will see how things go with his install. Over Christmas, mine will be going in the Lumina for the winter. Can't wait.

In Bill'* life there is work and things like that. Merely trying to get this out of my living room. 
W/o talking to Geoff, I would have had no idea on these. As well he found the wiring diagrams and forwarded them to me. All his efforts have sped this project along. Thanks Geoff.
Last night while chatting w/a couple of BC members on the phone, the seats impressed me as to how well they are put together and stitched.
First stitching is the seam where two pieces of leather come together. Best done from the outward facing side of the leather. Then the stitching that folds each edge of the leather over and holds it. (stitching 1/8" away from the seam). Lastly the white thread holding the heater to the leather in a hem like stitch.
4 hours later I have 8 seat heating panels off the factory leather. Glad I bought the heavy duty stitch ripper. (Which toolbox drawer does that go into?

Found factory looking switches. No idea if they are momentary or push on push off....but I'll make them work. Now all I need is to get the part number and see about GMPD. Or junkyards..I don't see any in junkyards though.
