Default Broken theme

Call me old fashioned if you will, but I find myself unable to use anything but the 'GMForum2008' theme on the list. I hated the new theme from day 1. No big deal, I switch it back, and move on with life being the grumpy old curmudgeon that I am.

Fastforward to a month or two ago, the theme now seems broken, as if there are images used for buttons that are no longer there.

There was a backdrop behind the options of 'User CP, Forum Home, etc', and that is gone. Rounded corners don't load, etc.

So, who broke it, and when will they fix it
