Somebody else did their visors recently. Looked good on that one, too.

What'* the interpret problem? Never heard of it.

Well..didnt mean to infer that I had done the recover...found the link on google.

I have driven a 90 sse for 10 years and just bought a 94 sse last week.

Bought it on ebay on a thursday in Philly, left on southwest at 4am friday morning, picked up the car at 4pm on friday and hit the intersate for 1000 miles road trip home.

Car was alittle fidgity so I stopped at a autozone in delaware to pull the codes.

When I went to pull the codes I started on the quest to understand the hybrid obd1/obd2 system. Autozone couldnt read them. Got to tennessee and tried another autozone...no luck. Went to a referred Gateway tire store that advertises "check Engine" check. They tried everything they had in the shop and no go...they didnt know why either.

I started researching here on this site, used the search function, read hundreds of posts...you guys rock... and started getting tips about types of scanners, hybrids and solutions.

On a tip from will I think, I called my local advance auto, talked to Mike..a nice guy willing to help , he sais he could read it no problemo.

So...I see Mike, he pulls out a super scantool cp9150 with a sack of cables, plugs in, pulls the codes, walks inside, plugs it in to a printer and spits out a printed list.

p0300 misfire...duh
p0406 egr pintle position..needs a cleaning I hope.
p0558 cruise control vacuum solenoid...this I was aware too
qdm1 fault, qdm2 fault (I understand from you guys that this is a software glitch)
p0712 Trans temp sensor
p0756 f31 trans solenoid failure I assume this is TCC.

Actually the tcc lockup or chuggle is /was my primary concern and what started my search.

This is a great start to a full restoration. Later in the day I stopped at my fav mechanics shop who has done all the work on my 90 Bonnie. I was telling him this story...he says lets try my scanner, he grabs a snap-on scantool with a string of "cards" that jack inline with the scan cable. This thing actually started displaying, fuel mixture, Idle, trans decriptions, %'*.timing and other stuff too, more like a full obd2 system.....way cool.

He suggested that we clear all the codes, drive it a couple of days while I round up all the tune-up parts and fluids, etc, and then we would do a full scan then do the necessary parts and repairs.

I am anxious about this thorough reading and smoothing this ride out and possibly solvibg the chuggle problem.

Thanks to everyones support and advice, I hope I can add more as I learn and experience more of the newer Bonnevilles attitude. I still have the 90 and fear selling it as it is the best auto I have ever owned without reservation. 280k miles and rides and runs...(and looks) as good as the day I bought it.
