Default Junkyard Shopping List

Ok, so I have a 1994 SLE, and I found out theres a new arrival of a 1995 SSE at a junkyard an hour away. Hoping I don't have to keep driving back an forth, what should I get, what would you try to get?

So far, today, I found 8 bonnes at one yard, all in peices, no tails, no headlights. One of them was an SSEI, AL7'* were gone in that one, but I managed to grab the auto dim mirror. The HUD was still in tact, with no switch. I didn't grab it because I wasn't sure how much work was involved, especially without that switch. Which I couldve ordered new, but still the amount of work made me question how bad I wanted it.

So far my list for tomorrow is,
trunk lid liner
passenger corner lamp socket
AL7
tail lights
carpet

What else should I get? What'* hot(get it while it lasts)?

if you want the HUD you will need to grab the ENTIRE dash and the Wiring

after that the hook up is only 8 wires that you need from the HUD Harness to your SE harness

make sure to grab the Wireharness from the AL7'* as well...with out that they are worthless

The wiring harness for the AL7'* can be cleaned down to the driver seat, center swtiches and passenger seat connectors. Then you will have power and ground left over. Makes it very easy. Basically get as much of the wiring as possible.

Fir the wiring harness for the AL7, it connects to the main harness by the driver'* door. When I got mine, I cut it there.

With the HUD, you'll want the dash to make it easy. No one has tried to just cut the dash with much success I believe.

The ECU (PCM) from the SSEi'* will be good ones. The 92-95 are located under the passenger dash (silver looking box with 3 wires) and it is on the driver'* side engine bay in 96-99.

So I went to the junkyard today, and found one 94 black SE, nothing good to take, and a white 1995 SSEi. That was the only car I ended up getting parts from. The AL7'* were all mouldy, the switches were smashed. The entire dash was grey, and so I didnt try to take the HUD. I did manage to get a front corner light, since mine fell off from my the clearing last time(used cheap glue). I finally got some SSEi tails! Every yard I went to always had those tails snatched real quick. There must be a few BC members in this area.. I also managed to get the trunk liner. I ended up paying about $226 CDN after tax.

Is that an okay price for it all? I was really surprised by that price, I was like WTF $200?! But then the guy told me he sells each side, (inner and outer) for $120. But I did think about it, and I pretty much paid $60 for each outer, $40 for each inner, and he threw in the front corner and trunk liner for that price. I guess I should have thought of some prices in my head before showing up at the counter, and had no expectations, except for "hopefully I get a good deal".

your lucky....inners TYPICALLY dont have delam, and they are easy to find if you have good outers now

I STRONGLY recommend that you run a bead of RTV or something similar around the entire light, so further delam dosent occur (word from the wise)
