Jogged from a brand new Sentra SE-R Spec V
Damn, I just got home. Went up against a brand new Sentra SE-R Spec V with an exhaust/intake (I could hear it). We were on the freeway and went from 70mph. Actually he started accelerating to see if I would race so I agreed with my foot to the floor and pulling 2 car lengts on him from 70 mph - 100 mph and then I just shut off because it was not worth it anymore. Damn these ported exhaust manifolds kick ***. I think we are going to dyno the car because these things kick so much ***. Hard to describe the top end power of the car now, it just hauls. And the SE-R just proves that even more. But damn that thing must have no top end because it did a fly by, then slowed down, I caught up to him again and we just raced, I pulled same style and he just left off the freeway. So sad, very sad for him. But good for us since the test of the exhaust manifolds went well. Time to go play and see if we cant squeeze more out of the stock exhaust manifolds. I know there is more power. But right now I am guessing about 10-15HP on the top end easy but we haven't fully ported the manifolds to their max. Heh, heh.

Nice one, Hector! That SE-R does well with it'* power, since it'* engine is designed to run more like one of our American-specs...lower RPM'* with more torque.
I've always said, the better our engines breath, the faster we go!!

I am going to be honest. Header development is not going to be that quick since it takes at least a week to make just one set of headers (approx 30-40 hours) to do it right and have it tuned. And of course we have to make more than one set. Headers will be a while. Plus while other things I getting down (powdercoating on the intakes, going to go kill soon) and other parts we are developing as well at the same time. Plus it gets tiring doing the same project for an entire week, that'* why we either take turns welding, cutting, bending on the projects so it doesn't go stale and we don't lose interest. We really want to get the tunable L36 sheetmetal intake manifold going. We are starting to build it. Though I want to make one that will auto adjust the length of the runners to engine rpm so a flat torque curve. But the headers will take months and I know it. I will have more time in about 3 weeks so it might speed up, we might just make 2 test headers at a time instead of 1.
