touring and shifting

is it just the cars normal age and wear/tear, but next to the shifter the touring ride and preforming ride lights are on and wont go off no matter what i push, my ABS light on the dash is always on, 'traction off' is always on the dash too but the button light isnt pushed down by the shifter, preform and normal shifting lights dont work by the shifter either. ok... and what do all the traction touring and shifting buttons mean and do?

The procedure for extracting touring/perf suspension modes is in Techinfo.

Your ABS/Traction lights could be anything from a disconnected wheel speed sensor (free fix) to a 900 dollar repair bill for a PMV or EBCM module.

Your performance shift mode is new to me. I've never seen one 'stick' on. I'd suspect a problem with the switch or a short in the wiring. It allows your shifts to be 500 rpm's higher. Bad for mileage, good for performance. Your car is actually shifting at the same point as a car without the option. Normal allows you to shift 500 rpm's lower (to help the SSEi gear ratio get a little farther on the juice).

was it a recall?

the mileage on it right now is horrible and i dont know why. maybe the perform shift thing is on but when i push it down the light still stays on. but normal is on too. what about the traction?

on the hwy the perform shift shouldn't make a huge diffrence. But what will is very simple. Check all your tire pressures, and put them back up to spec, about 32 LBS per tire. Other than that maybe a simple tune up, mine got bad mileage befor i put good plugs and wires in it. The car should get 25+mpg on the hwy.
