Default keys found 6 inches from the ground after 30k miles.

ok so i am pretty freakin amazed i found these keys. i thought id never see them again. they were sitting there for about 30 thousand miles or so, and it was a horizontal surface about 6" from the ground. we have 6 speed bumps each way in and out of the apartment complex, and ive gone from chicago to birmingham countless times and they just sat there patiently.

heres a vid. its definitely worth watching to get the whole story.

i checked the clicker at the little autozone check your remote thing and it still works. ive just gotta re program it so itll work with my car again.

My car eats tools. I have quite a few lost in obscure nooks and crannies. Never had that happen with keys though.

There'* a 13mm socket behind a body panel, and a 15mm socket somewhere on my subframe (if that hasn't fallen out somewhere between here and Jersey). I lost them last year, and I don't plan on seeing either one again.

I can't count the number of times my car has eaten sockets only to be found months down the road. Only thing it hasn't coughed up is my channel locks.

Very nice, I recently found one of the clips that holds my relay panel cover at the firewall, I was doing an inner tie rod and it pooped it out.

lol. i actually reprogrammed the clickers and they both work with the car now, and i havent even opened the one that was down there so long the buttons are wore down. i do think there is some gunk in there though because i have to work really hard to get the old one to unlock or pop the trunk. ill have to open it at some point and clean the contacts.
