wow those are fast and quiet. were those the v8 ones but i heard a supercharger, did they offer a supercharged V8?

Those T-birds have always impressed me...they have unbelievable low end torque :shock: ...puts even the supercharged Bonnies to shame. :?

I've never raced one in the Bonne, but i want to try.. I have a feeling most of us would get our ass's handed to us... Nice styling in that car too. I love it.

No supercharged V8, the only models that came with a supercharger were the Super Coupes, I believe were from 1989-1995. I could be wrong on the end year.

I used to have a Thunderbird before I totalled it. It was a Turbo Coupe, the model that Ford put out from 1983-1988, but used the 87 to 88's as a "spacer" because they weren't finished with the Super Coupe yet. It had a 2.3 liter Inline 4, with a IHI turbo. Stock boost was 10psi, I had a Gillis Valve on mine and it cranked up to 15. The stock numbers for Turbo Coupes are 190hp@4600rpm(Give or take a few hundred RPM), and 240ft/lbs@3800rpm I believe. Pretty quick car, the only downside is that it weighed 3420lbs. The newer generation T-Birds(1989-1997) were 3550lbs though.
