Bonneville's other GM relatives

Bonneville'* other GM relatives
Hey everyone, new to the forum here ... just wanted to ask a few quick questions because I am considering buying a '97 Bonneville.
Up until a week ago I was driving a '97 Olds LSS. It had 175,000 miles on it, I was mainly using it as a winter car. Anyway, the 3800 motor (non supercharged) blew a head gasket, and it'* not worth repairing. However, I had just spent $500 on front end parts 2 days earlier (2 ball joints and stabilizer kit, plus labor).
Now I was hoping to hold out until I find another Olds 88, then I'd have plenty of spare parts. But my big question is ... will everything swap over to a Bonneville also?
This '97 has about 150,000 miles, it'* inspected, solid, and $1000 OBO. If I can use my LSS for parts, I'd be getting a good deal.
Besides a Bonneville, what else shares the same GM platform as the 88/LSS? A Buick LeSabre perhaps?
Is there anything in particular with a high mileage Bonneville that I should check before buying?
Thanks!
Rob
