Thinking of trading!! HELP ME~ before its too late

I own a 99 Mustang V6 with 65K on it. Automatic. Nothing is wrong with the mustang except the air conditioning seems to be acting funny, cold then cool, cold then cool. But other then that the drivers mirror needs to be replaced. I found a Bonneville SSEi 03. It has high mileage but does not look it from the pictures. Here is a link to the pictures of it:

do you think it would be a good deal to trade the mustang for the bonneville an even trade? Kbb and nada says the bonneville is worth more even with the high miles. It has every feature I want in a car. Let me know what you all think. Am I stupid for trading a 65K car for a 152K car? Even though it is a better vehicle?

Let me know.

The Bonnevilles are one of a kind cars especially ssei if you want it i would buy it It is worth the money however with more mileage comes tender loving care if you really love that car to trade in your mustang in remember that its going to need a lot of things replaced like the timing belt supercharger needs to be checked out and such because if you plan on drag racing with that car with its current high mileage then be ready to pay a visit to a repair shop so keep that in mind other than that if you baby that car it will take care of you so in short its a great deal with all the features so i would say go for it.:thumbup2

IMO the SSEi is a far better car. There's a few bonnies here that do 0-60 in 5 seconds, and can hit 12s in the 1/4 mile. That's really moving for a 4 door car that has a ton of room. Besides, nothing sounds better then a supercharger screaming.

I have owned Grand Prix's in the past and absolutely loved them. So when I saw the bonneville it reminded me of a grand prix but with more luxury. This SSEi is awesome going to go look at it tomorrow. I will post on what I think after the test drive and walk around. The mustang just has no pep, for a v6 3.8L it has no get up and go. It has 190 Horses compared to the SSEi which I believe has 240 Horses correct me if I am wrong on the 03 supercharged. I do like the styling of the bonneville more then the mustang. Please keep your comments coming the decision will weigh heavily on your opinions if I should do this trade. Thanks,n Also my daughter wants 2 things in my next car, a sunroof and 4 doors, she is 6 and yes I take her opinions seriously. She doesnt like daddy's mustang. :(

The SSEi has 240 HP stock. And you can up that real easy. You can hit 400hp at the crank with little a bit of effort.

The mustang is a nice car however there are not many mods available for the V6 for some more get with the bonnie you can make her scream and blow the doors of the new mustang GT in it's current condition The bonnie will roast a lot of cars on the road even the ricers (my personal favorite victims) i love watch their jaws drop when i pull away from them like they are standing still!

Go ahead get the bonnie and you will be pleasantly surprised by it's get up and go also since that is an 03 it has the better more comfortable seat than the 00-01

I don't race or drag so I would be gentle on the car, but with 152K if I take care of it and baby it how long will it last me to? I just need the car to last 2 years or so until I can get a better job and get back on my feet. I only drive about 6K a year on my cars. I just worry that all the things that will go wrong with a 152K car will start to go out on this one when I get it. What should I look for on my test drive tomorrow any tell signs I need to look for to see if it is going to have problems?

Danthurs 12-06-2009 07:35 PM

There's been a lot of members that go over 200k, some going over 300k, and even a few going over 400k. It's all about taking care of it.

I have 165k on mine had to do a tranny line, s/c coupler, uim/lim gaskets, a couple sensors here and there (thank you j/y's lot cheaper) and a cat, other than that she's been great have owned her a year and a half and bought her with 121k and in rough mechanical shape thanks to previous owner not keeping up on her
