Oh my god, bad luck x2 day.
The other night I repainted my bumper white. I thought my car was white, but its really like a small mix of beige and white lol... so it looks like i ordered a stock part and installed it without painting it lol.
Then after painting it was really late out and i tried to shut my trunk as quietly as i could, and went to bed. The next morning i drove to school and im guessing the trunk didnt latch all the way, trunk flew open and creased right through the center. :( it still shut though, thankfully but now my hood looks like crap :(
bad day lol

are we talking hoods, trunks or bumpers...
to my understanding...you have a wrong colored bumper and your trunk lid folded in half the short way....hard to believe..
but ur hood is fine i think

the hood flew open while i was driving, and the 2 absorbers that keep the hood open without the rod, stopped the hood from hitting my windshield but the hood moves so quickly that when the absorbers stopped it, it made a bend in the hood through the center.
EDIT: wow, I must have been tired posting my first post, not the trunk the hood lmao.
It doesnt really look bad, it just doesnt look right, doesnt look repairable though.

Sounds like the latch failed, or was loose. I have NEVER had the hood not catch the 'safety latch' I guess it is called. I have driven her a few times like that on accident . Guess that'* what happens when you are in a rush to get somewhere right after you fixed something.

how do u guys do that? i mean i would notice.... once i left a ratchet under my hood (yep that was supid of me) and it propped the hood up a little on the drivers side when it was closed (thats the only reason i didnt loose the ratchet), the hood stuck up about a ¼" and i noticed it, if my hood was open, i think i would notice it....

My hood sits low. You really can't tell until you start driving and the hood is bouncing around. My hood is so heavy, and the spring for it isn't very strong, so basically it sits low. I can snap a pic if you want.
