What would you do if your dash was out?
If you can think of anything that could be wired up or done while the dash is out or the car is in pieces..what would you do?
The question comes up with the dash currently out of Bandit'* upcoming 1995 SSEi..however there might be things from other years that can be applied.
As of now..we've done the following:
Run 3 wires through the firewall for future possibilites
Overrode the fog light disabling when the high beams are turned on
Move the DLC connector to a better area for scanning while driving
Let'* hear your ideas.

I saw this mentioned in a sister post...check out the airmix motor.
Maybe prewire for additional gauges? Oh yeah...run all new power and grounds to the stereo itself. Ever measure what the source voltage is @ the headunit? There is enough voltage drop there to make a difference when installing an aftermarket HU.

If you have plans for a sub in the future, run the wires now. I'd also run new speaker wires to the stock speakers. The factory ones are kinda wimpy.
Check all the airmix motors, clean out the ducting and heater core, check the firewall for any signs of beginning rot or leaks, new bulbs or LEDs in the instruments.

Here is a mod I was contemplating. Since the HUD is out, place a warning LED either inside the HUD itself or on the HUD pod. Either way you shouldn't directly see the LED, but rather see it reflecting off the windshield. The LED could represent anything you want it to...for my idea, a yellow LED for "lean" condition, and a red one for a KR indication if it is above a certain degree of retard.
This beats having to constantly scan your eyes across aftermarket gauges (though it would be nice to have them AND have the LEDs there to augment)

Gut the speedo, install a nice color screen that will toggle from GPS to touch-screen diagnostics to WiFi permanently tuned to the BC "Performance and Brainstorming" forum.
(hey, did you expect better from someone nicknamed slug as a baby?)

Sorry Boost, a moment of temporary insanity.
How about a brighter or additional illumination bulb for the odometer area? Both our '94 and '98 are almost impossible to read at night.
