Default true dual exhaust

so my muffler is crapping out and i want to get maybe a flowmaster this weekend at the carcraft nationals... but my dad said it would be better and cooler to just have an exhaust guy run me two pipes down and out the back with cheery bombs or 50s series ect...

will this set up work with our cars?

The best power out of a "True Dual System" involves an X pipe after the headers. Your Exhaust manifolds have ONE outlet to start. These cars don't sound that bad without a muffler (Mine didn't atleast) but i prefer it with the muffler for sure. 92/93'* will be loud enough with an 80 series, if they keep the res.

If you're talking TRUE dual exhaust with a pipe from each manifold...DON'T DO IT!!!

You're car will become uber slow due to no backpressure and you will have down near 0 torque.

However, if you're talking about splitting the one pipe midway down...be my guest and ignore what I said.
