Yeah, I haven't heard of many cases where they leak anyways, its aluminum, and theres torque spec on it is like a 2-finger pull.

In a pinch, I've used RTV silicone, and it worked. I don't recommend it, but it has not leaked at all. I did this just before taking the 94 to a heated garage in November. I'm going to finish it up before I drive it, and it from September has not had a gasket, but just gasket maker.
