If its a failed upper or lower, or both, Im sure there is coolant and oil mixed together somewhere in that engine.

The question is how long has it been sitting in that state? It doesnt take long for a coolant/oil mix to do some damage to engine internals.

Actually it seems that the typical UIM failure here, when resulting in a hydrolock kills off the bearings soon after. You won't find actual water when draining the oil though. Which makes one wonder..is it in the 1/4" bottom of the pan that doesn't drain or is it the force of the hydrolock?

If it'* been sitting a year, and there'* coolant in the cylinders, the cylinders will be pitted. Pretty much guaranteed.

If the body and interior are in good condition I see the perfect car for a L67 swap. Heck I can find a half decent L36 at the wreckers for $200 here. I would take it
