The 92-99 Bonneville keys have a single cut. I think all the Grand Prix'* (oldest I've seen is a 96 to current day) have a double sided cut.

I think the 2000+ Bonnies have a double sided cut.

But then you still have to make sure you're getting the right blank...even if both cars do have the double sided cut. You can verify by looking for the letter stamped on the key, near the plastic cased top.

I'm not sure about the tumblers. But you could get on gmpartsdirect.com and look up the part number for each year/car and see if the part numbers match.

I think it was around 95 or 96 when the GP'* started getting double sided keys. I know for a fact that '93 and older got single cut, I'm just not sure the exact year they stopped it.

I beleive they started phasing in double sided keys in 95 with the Riviera(correct me if I'm wrong) and introduced it into other car as they brought out redesigned models.

But the grooves are the same across the board. If you have a single sided key, the same balnk will work for your car as for any other single-sided GM key. Same goes for Two sided keys.
I can't think of a car co. that doesn't use a universal blank, although they can change from one generation of cars to the next.

Not true. Look at any older GM single cut key. There'* a letter stamped near the top of the key. That letter designates the blank code. It'* even like that in my 79 T/A.
