A P0122 code means that the the car'* computer has detected that the TPS (throttle position sensor) is reporting too low a voltage. On some vehicles that lower limit is 0.17 - 0.20 volts (V).
Did you adjust it when you installed it? If the signal value is less than .17V then the PCM sets this code. Could be an open or a short to ground in the signal circuit. Or you may have lost the 5Volt reference voltage.

If you removed the TPS, did you install it right? It'* very easy to get it wrong. Here'* a write up on it. It MUST be put in offset a little bit, and then turned back. https://www.gmforum.com/normal-maintainence-138/throttle-position-sensor-tps-replacement-284336/

Yes it can. TPS signal is used for shifting. My guess is it'* not installed right. Look at the write up. It'* very easy to do. And being a girl changes nothing. The write up walks you through everything.

Once you look at how it works, and what you feel when you put it in right, you will understand why it'* not working. If I'm correct, the pins on the throttle plate are not touching the tabs on the TPS. When you turn the TPS back a little you will feel the resistance and the TPS moves. So right now the TPS is at zero instead of above zero, and that'* why you have TPS low voltage.
