Default Widest tire we can fit on the 00+ wheels

can we fit a P275 on the 00+ 7.5" wide wheel?.

note: This would not be for daily driving

Yikes. Without looking it up, I'd say you're seriously pushing two limits:

1. Width of the tread compared to rim width (you'll deform your sidewalls)
2. Width of the tire will most likely prevent full-lock. I know Bullet'* drag radials are 255, and they already rub. This size will be nearly an inch wider.

Yeah 255'* are the widest you can get in there without wheel spacers.

so the 255'* would rub on the strut, or just at full lock?

like i said, these would be for Track ONLY

I tried looking for the pic but failed. its shows about 3/16" clearance to the strut brace. I think Haro posted it?

No the 255'* are very close but never rub......but they look like they might, the guy at my tire shop was telling me they would for sure......wrong.

Why that wide? There'* no logical reason for it. Go with a more standard size.
