Anyone have problems with foriegn made pads?
Just did my front brakes. New pads 1 rotor, and machined one. Also replaced the slider bushings as they were right siezed.
Coming down smythe street, my brakes started to fade badly, and it kind of worried me a bit, because i'm generally very easy on my brakes, and keep the rears adjusted. Pulled in a parking lot, and you could smell the brakes, it was that bad.
Prior to doing my brakes i had no problem with my old pads, they stopped the car, no problem, even with a trailer. I did them because the rotors were warped, and i was getting a low pedal. However, even going downhill under hard braking, with a trailer, I never experienced brake fade. When I bought new pads, I noticed they sold me chinese made pads under the Morse name. I questioned the parts guy, and he said they've never had a problem with those pads, and they were the only ones avalible at the time. So I figured it was better than nothing, and installed them anyways.
I think I will be returning them anyways, i've never trusted them, and I still don't. I'm more disgusted with myself for buying them in the first place. Think i'll try to see if i can find locally made pads at work tomorrow. Wagners or raybestos might be a good place to search, unless they went foriegn made too.. I hope not. Yeeesh!

I've never experienced brake fade after new pads and rotors, unless I had air trapped in the system. Give it a good bleed first, then try again. Curious to see or hear how bad the pads were after you take them off.
