Somebody had fun in the Zilla.
Dropped my car off for the day at a local shop for a front end alignment to finish up on the steering rack fix.
I mentally checked my trip odo. Remember that no repairs were necessary. So no test drive to verify a problem or verify a good alignment would normally happen. +2.2 miles different track on my new JVC HU Exhaust cutout was open when I turned the key No damage, nothing out of place, so I let it go. Someone sure had fun. Other than the trans shop, this is the only time I've left my car somewhere for work. Couldn't help it yesterday. |
thats what you get with a desirable engine bay...

They probably verified alignment of not only the wheels, but the steering wheel.
Got a little DQ on the way and thought your exhaust cutout control was some new fangled stereo control, typically a shop will turn the radio off or down to listen for odd noises. |
They knew nothing about my steering and would have known it was straight when they put it up on the lift.
I know for a fact these guys don't test-drive after alignments. ;) I think the ride onto the lift sparked some curiosity. |
i once took my 88 sse to aamco for a replacement of a few tranny lines and i hit the reset on the trip meter and when i got it back it said almost 11 miles and my gas was a lil lower also. i no they had no reason to test drive the car as well but they were always very nice and extremley chaep with their prices so i also let it go. i kinda thought it was awsome that some one else wanted to pimp my car for a few.. lol

You and your tires got off easy with only +2.2 ;)

I never had that problem with my CRX. I wonder what gives?
