Default impala ss

I was on the freeway going 100 next to an Impala SS (94-96)
next thing I know I can't even see his tail lights! I have an SE, but I don't think a SSEi would even stand ground. Impalas are sweet!

In the 1/4 mile they aren't that much faster. When I was at the track with our club it was also the Impala day. Stock they were running 14.6'* - 15.5'*. I was running 14.9'* with a bad 60ft. time which if I could've launched I should've been around 14.7'*. I was running the 3.4" pulley, Flowmaster muffler, and 14" open cone filter. I also was running full street weight. I didn't remove anything from the way I drive it everyday. The big thing with the run in above is the LT1 is awesome up in the top end range. I haven't ran an Impala SS top end but I suspect it would kill me.

Default SS

:P Impala SS are a sweet car ....but of course when you see one you just have to say to yourself ..hmmmmmmmmmmmm can my Big Girl take him or will she get her *** kicked . So i went up against one we have here in town on the way back from work.................... Man your race is won if you have a good reaction off the line ..( have a secert on lite jumping). with traction cntrl on; nos on full throttle micro switch; all ponies came out to play; beat him across the intersection then slowed down..... race was over for me...was he mad but i had to turn off to come home.....still if i could buy a SS ( 95) i would in a heart beat

Been wondering the same thing about can we take an impala ss. While there are some around my area, they won't race because cops tend to follow them a lot. I'm waiting for one to turn up locally with a for sale sign in the window. Gonna ****** it up!

Default hello?

o.k...

i was seriously considering a 96 ss (jet black with red accents) that was for sale right in my area...reasonably priced too. buuuuuut, two things...they are huge, they don't come with nearly as many goodies as our ssei'*, and they probably get horrible mileage. besides being rear wheel drive. of course there are faster, better looking (though i LOVE the looks of the bonnie) cars out there....but bonnies have unique features (HUD) they are reliable, they are fast....and they get GREAT mileage...i'm not a tree hugger or anything...but i can't imagine getting 15 m.p.g (that may not be an accurate number)....no matter how fast my car was.

There is a 96 around my area with 700hp and um I think it might win if I give it a head start.. You know I don’t want to hurt the guys feelings. LOL it is rare to find a stock impala in Cali.

the Impala SS is a high 14 second car...but its easy to get them going, exhaust,PCM flash, headers and a cam they're running high 12'* and LT1'* respond well to NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWS
