I bet if you would have primed the fuel pump it wouldn't have even stuttered. My Bonneville sits for 3-4 months every year when the weather gets bad (It lives a pampered life...) and always starts right up in the spring.

PCM'* last I knew, do not have calendar'* in the programming. Thus why oil life is based on engine hours/miles.

i was really surprised. the thing has stock everything. plugs wires, everything. only things done to it are the struts brakes and the passenger seat was replaced under warranty because the height adjustment broke in 2002. oh, and i replaced the brake lines a few years back because they rusted out sitting so long. it was originally owned by my grandparents. my dad bought it with 65k in 2007.

and mike, thats a good point... never thought of that. i just figured it would reset the oil life with no battery for so long. im actually driving it next week because the computer lost its emissions data. (dont know why i didnt realize that would happen with no battery for 11 months... duh) had to pay $20 for a 30 day pass. then i get to go back and pay the full amount when it does pass.

Some PCM'* are weird. 95'* and below, you disconnect the battery and you lose all stored codes and emission data. 96 and newer, disconnect the battery and you lose emission data, but not stored codes. It'* the gooberment man. They don't want us cheatin the system. But guess what? I already am!! Hahahahahah, gimme another hit off dat doobie man!

haha. another thing i need to diagnose is the friggin parasitic draw this car has. at first i figured it was just the air ride running with the car off (which his does for some odd reason) so i pulled the fuse for it. still goes click the next morning. the battery in it is a diehard gold less than 2 years old, and the past 11 months has been on a battery tender jr. i think im going to find it using eric the car guy'* method. he seems to know his stuff pretty darn well. i just want to wait till it passes before i go disconnecting the battery. till then, its battery tender at night and jump box in the trunk during the day. lol.

Checking a draw an a late model GM can be a chore. You almost need a tech II hooked up to a external power sorce and a multi meter with a record function. It'* hard to tell when all the modules are in sleep mode. Onstar will power up every 15 min to check in for I think 3 hours before it compleatly goes to sleep. It sure isn't like the old days when you connect a test light up to the battery and start pulling fuses till it goes out.
