Default One Thing After Another!

Sometimes it seems like the Gods are out to get me! I swearI've had the worst week ever! In the last seven days I've been pulled over twice, Ticketed once ( In the Fiancee'* GTP) for squeelin the tires LOL, Had my local gas utility wrongfully cut off my supply, had my but kicked trying to restrain a youth at the group home I work at ( we have to be nice about it/ they don't) Had to replace the Power window switch in the Fiancees GTP (115 Bucks New) No 2 Doors at the wreckers of course and now i've got to replace the rad in my 96 SSE. The drivers side tank just up and split. Coolant everywhere! To top it off I picked up a used rad out of an SE at the wrecker and it'* Different! No Sensor. Now i'm goin back tomorrow to see if I can find another one. Mine'* a C4 and the one I found was a C6 I think. Hopefully I can find one out of a 94 or 95 cause there'* slim pickins when it comes to my body style.
Wish me luck and I'll try to post some pics of that tank splitting. WIERD! :?

You probably wouldn't have seen my old post, but I have an 01 SSEi with 86,000 miles and the plastic tank on my rad split. It is, I think, the 5th one Iv'e lost in my assorted Bonnies. I have been told it is rare, but it does happen.

Good luck - you'll find good info and tips here on BC.

Actually..it'* the failure on this type of radiator. The plastic expands and contracts... sooner or later..crack.

Usually it'* pretty far into the car'* life.

You want bad luck.. see performance and brainstorming.. for 30 of the 36 pages..I didn't think this car would ever run again.

Default Thanks Guys

To all who commented.....Thanks. I did take a few photos of the replacement and the old Rad. But I need to open a photobucket account to get them on. Ended up with a rad from a 93 SSEI and changed the sensor with mine. The new rad is a beefy lookin 2 row compared with the old single row job. And the job went so easily I was worried. So far all is good. No leaks!

Sometimes you get a break !

These are good forums and a good club. The gearguys have helped me out many times. They will never give up on you as long as you keep trying! They can save you hours and days of pain, if you just ask.
