Engine Storage!!!
I'm gonna be slapping down an L27 in my garage, need some advice. I'm not interested in the bottom end parts, they're trashed anyways. so i'm gonna need to put it on the ground. I don't have an engine stand or anything either.
How much would an engine stand be? See one in summit racing for $60.
Otherwise it'* on the oil pan now @ andy'* house, and it'* going on that here too.

At least put an old tire or something under it. My dad bought a 1000lb engine stand for $46 including tax. It worked really well while working on my engine. He had to make bolts to bolt the engine up though. We looked around and couldn't find any metric thread that was 4 1/2 inches long.

my dad is a mechanic will tons of experience with the 3800.......it was out of a 1993 oldsmobile eighty eight that spun a rod bearing........top end still has P&P potential, along with the exhaust manifolds.
