Scanned both cars yesteday
Well, thats just about it and now I have some questions.
I have 40 PSI fuel pressure on the '93 at idle and 50 PSI under acceleration at WOT. Is that good pressure? I know that it was about 30* outside, but I had 0* KR at WOT all the way up to about 90 MPH also had 11* timing advance at WOT. What do you think of these numbers? I want to try out a 2.2" pulley this summer and realize that KR might be present at higher outside temps, but how does that look right now? I will get cracks fixed in my manifolds first, of course. Next up... the '03 ( didn't test fuel pressure ) 0* KR at WOT, and a spike of 4* KR at the 2 - 3 shift, fell off right away back to 0* 11* timing advance also. I would like to put a 3.4 pulley on this car in the spring also. How do those numbers look? |
I don't remember when mine wasn't chipped, but I see up to 14 deg timing on mine with a Hypertech chip. Maybe 12 is stock?
Fuel pressure looks fine for now. I thought Series II ran more timing? |
The KR spikes at shift point is normal. It's the cars way of protecting it's self. If you installed a street/strip shift kit that KR will drop, I get abotu 2 degrees at the shift. I'm running a 3.4" pully. I would suggest a 3.5" if you have no other mods on the car. If you want a 3.4 then you will need a CIA, and a PCM upgrade for starters.
Just looked at your SIG. a 3.4" should be OK, but each car is a little different. I would suggest adding the shift kit from intense. |
