Default Keyless Entry / Key fobs Q.

When I got my SE, there was no keyless entry, no key fobs. Just a key. Right after I got the car (used) I took it to a stereo shop and had a new sound system and a Clifford aftermarket alarm installed.

The kid who installed the alarm wired it into the existing electric door locks, and he said he wired it into the existing keyless entry, and that the factory installs the keyless entry module whether you buy it or not, and if you want it then they just program a couple fobs for you and charge you out the wazoo.

Indeed, my car alarm operates all the door locks, and remote-opens the trunk.

My questions:
(1) Is there any truth to the bit where all our cars come with the keyless entry even if we don't know we have it?
(2) Is there an RPO code that tells if you have it or not?
(3) Since I already have an alarm with fobs that operate my doors and trunk, if I do have a keyless entry module like the kid said, I still have no good reason to get factory key fobs since I have an alarm now, right?
