Rims

hey, i found these rims that were on a 01 mustang gt and i'm wondering if they will fit on my 99 bonnie. a while ago i thought i heard they did but if i remember, the mustangs had a different offset?

Danthurs Apr 12, 2010 07:35 PM

What is the off set and bolt pattern?

sseiyaaround Apr 12, 2010 07:42 PM

Danthurs Apr 12, 2010 07:55 PM

They will fit and bolt up but they dont center on the lugs correctly.

And that will cause the lug bolts to snap in time, one by one. Been there and done that.

When it comes to wheels, it fits correctly, or it don't go on.

No Problem. As a kid, I did that with an Impala. Holes just a little off, Lug nuts tightened with a little persuasion. Seemed fine in town. Took it out on the highway to go to NYC and had my trip cut short. I was going along and heard a "ping!" and wondered what happened but kept going. Another couple miles a second "ping!" and the rear tire started wobbling. Pulled off at the next exit and into a gas station (back when they actually still had mechanics.) He put new studs in two that snapped, left only 3 nuts on each wheel, and told me to take it home on the 2 lane much slower and get them off.
