Any thoughts or experience with this Tire? Pricing doesn't matter since I'll get a good price on them. I'm just wondering what experiences people have had with these. I've used the Michelin® X® Radial DT P225/60R16 and was happy with them and got about 120,000 km.

My personal thoughts are there is too much directional tread for it grab well in the snow. Otherwise...it should rock in rain.

I'm only going to use them in the summer, so I guess there going to be a 3 season tire.

For summer I bet they'd handle great. $172 each for 16"...wow they sure aren't cheap. Good thing you can get a better price.

$172. is a Canadian price and I was hoping to haggle which has never been a problem for me. I just want to know if they're a good tire. I love Michelin, even when I worked for Goodyear and Firestone I like there tire.

id get the goodyear assurance tripletreds over the michelin hydroedge. then again i just dont like michelin tires period, overpriced pieces of crap imo.

BFG traction TA'* FTW!!!

goodrear triple treads are weak in snow. I can break them loose easily at 55 in snow. Never could do that with my BFG'*. And the BFG'* handle better in wet and dry cornering IMO.

What i'm running and they're amazing for an all season tire. Definetly not a winter or summer rubber tire, but they're pretty close. I can't comment on the triple treads, They cost $150 more for a set of 4 then my BFG, aren't as good on wet, and don't have as much contact area. They do have 10k miles more warranty I believe though.

I was never a fan of Michelin'* prices, always found them extremely overpriced for what you got. (or 2005 American GP for that matter) BFGoodrich is part of the Michelin group as i'm sure you're aware.

I really love these Hydroedge tires. I have used them on many cars. 96 SSE, 92 Plymouth Grand Voyager, 93 Lincoln Town Car, 2001 Ford Taurus.

Love them in rain and snow. Very good traction here in NC and trips up north to PA.

I did a lot of research and found that they were, at the time, the best tire for my needs. I never want to worry that there will be a problem with tires in snow and / or rain. The economics makes sense too. They are cheaper than others, but really hold up well and hold the road.

The only major complaint is sidewall strength. They are not strong enough to hold the sidewalls up when taking turns under load. (Sidewall roll under harsh driving conditions). This is okay if you aren't pushing things all the time like I do.

I've recently change to a much better tire (to date) for me and for the Bonneville SSE (The other cars / van will keep their HydroEdges). I push the bonneville more than all the others combined. (Because it can take it and deliver!)

Now I use Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position. They are about $140 (US) each installed at the local Bridgestone Dealer. I struggled with buying a Bridgestone after all the Bridgestone / Firestone stuff went on, but these are the best for the money and compare well to tires much more expensive too.

Tires, plugs, religion, politics.. It'* all just your opinion. You can throw facts at anything and make it seem better than the alternative. I know that these tires are great by the numbers, and by the feel on the road. I haven't run them in snow yet, so can't comment on that. But both wet and dry, they are the best I've ever used on this car.
