My shortest race ever..... 40ft
Ok this one is kinda funny....
I'm at work, and a bunch of us are talking about how fast our cars are... one guy has a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T, another a 1990 Ford T-Bird (Turbo, or SC), and myself with my Bonnie.
Anyways, we are all talking about what cars we've raced against, and how fast we've gone in our cars, and another guy "Bill" comes over and trys to brag up his..... Echo....
He'* all proud that he had his Echo upto nearly 140..... kph.....
When we explain the speeds we were talking about were in mph he gets kinda sad.
So anyways, the other two guys leave and go back to work.
Bill and I are talking, and he admits my car would kill him in a 1/4 mile race, or on the highway. But he figures in his standard, light weight Echo, he should be able to beat my automatic, very heavy Bonnie in a race to 40ft. I just laughed it off and went back to work....
After work when I leave for the day, what do I find in the parking lot... none other then Bill in his Echo, sitting there reving his engine. He'* actually gone and measured off 40ft of the parking lot.
So just for laughs I decide to race him... 40ft.
So we lined up, and raced. His tires squeeled, and he went no where.
I had my Bonnie totally across the finish line (a sewer drain) before the nose of his Echo was on it. Too funny!
I laughed all the way home, and when I saw him the next day at work, I laughed again.
I told him to cheer up and reminded him that he got way better mpg then I do.
.....lol.... 40ft

My friend'* dad was considering getting an Echo. Wow those cars are so ugly!! And to think of how little power it has makes me
40 feet!! What was he thinking?!?! I'm surprised he thought he could beat you. That amazes me. It reminds me of when my brother thought he could beat me in his Sunfire. I love easy kills every once in a while.
