Default antenna disassembly pictures(56k warning)

If anyone is curious as to what the inside of our power antennas looks like, let me know and I will spend the time to resize and get pictures online. I took one appart of the last hour or so.

If no one is interested I wont post them.

Please do post. My antenna is black (ooh yeah), fixed-mast, from a '95 GP sedan, so I don't know the luxury of power

Good idea to post it. I've replaced both antennas on my cars with wrecker units from 99'*. I took both apart and re-lubed them. Then reassembled before installation.

I apologize in advance for the blurry pictures.

How it looked before I started

with mast removed

The little prong and adapter piece that is used for sending the signal to the HU

broken cable

with most of the plastic removed...yes I broke the plastic in the process of removing it.

you can see the brass grommet style thing that holdes that area together. that is the only one I couldn't get out...

bushing dust

motor and screw assembly

looked like some sort of fuse

where the electricity came in (brushings)

another of the prong that goes from the mast to antenna cable adapter

main screw off the motor

motor magnets
