Default Stupid Bug!

I haven't had any kill stories lately since I've been babying my car the past few weeks. It'* been so long I forgot how fun it is to kick some A$$. But I have my new performance plugs and Taylor wires in now, so I had some fun. This isn't a rice kill but a kill nonetheless.

Today I was driving on "The Boulevard" as we call it, which is a long straight three lane city road. I'm in the right-hand lane and an older Buick Regal was in the lane to the far left. It picks up some speed and as I was about to go into the middle lane, he decides to move in the middle also. So he gets there and he looks back at me as if he wanted to race me. So I of course pressed the gas and easily passed him and got into the middle lane in front of him. While this happened I noticed a black VW Beetle swirving fast and then he drives up on my left. We then stopped at a red light.

By the way he was driving I knew he wanted to race, I didn't even have to turn my head and look at him. I kept my eyes on the light, my left foot on the brake, and my right foot sitting on the gas. When it turned green it was so funny how fast I pulled away. I was up to at least 60 before he started to close the gap and at about 70-75 I was a solid two Bonne sized car lengths in front at least. I didn't want to press my luck with the speed limit so I started to brake. He drove by and turned left of the road.

What do these Beetles have under the hood anyway? 130 or so hp? From the outside he was stock, but under the hood even if he had mods, they didn't help much I honestly think these people believe they can beat me since my car'* so big and they're half a ton lighter.

Uhmm I cant remember what it is exact but I think its a 1.8 or 1.3 with just over 100 horse stock. I drove a Turbo Diesel Bug a 2002 and that thing was pretty quick... Stock regular beatles arent much of a sports car besides the manual trans.

Don't knock those little bugs. Now, I'm talking about the old rear engine types with all the weight over the rear drive wheels.
I have had the most fun with those.
They are very quick up to about 20 or 30 mph. After that, no competition.
They can get a jump on you but it'* fun running them down and blowing by them in a cloud of road dust.

I thought this Bug would get a jump on me being lighter than me, but I was surprised how quickly I shot away. Maybe he didn't anticipate the light as well as I did. He probably had his right foot on the brake.

well, the 1.9 turbo diesel is **** because it produces and exciting 90hp. The 2.0 produces 115hp. The 1.8 Turbo produces 150hp but it can produce up to 180hp if you get the beetle "*."
Just some info.

Beetles are what I would call "cute" cars. I don't like the look of 'em but they're definitely not sporty or fast looking, that'* what I mean. And they're even worse when the owners put flowers in them as a lot of them do that I've seen
