Rare Factory Option ?

If you re-did A to move the fog light switch over, or found another fog light switch that went with the button better, then I think it would be best. Otherwise, as is, B looks better.

Just sayin, my car has that arrangment for its factory Homelink system. I've got it set up to open the garage door to my condo U/G, sure beats the goofy oversized remotes that come with openers.

I don't understand, are you all saying that Homelink wasn't a factory 92-99 Bonneville option?
You'd be right. There'* a map light from an Olds 98 and a homelink from a Riviera, among other vehicles that had the same button configuration. A bit of cutting, sanding, JB Weld, sanding, smoothing, then texture paint and color matching.. Poof
I give you the factory looking option that saves me from getting a new car for the homelink.
Option A was the first run at a Homelink and aiming to preserve the factory map light and fog light button. Odd that no one mentioned the problem with Option B. No fog light button
Stay tuned for that transition.
