water/intake
O.K. as some of you know I have a drier duct going from my intake to under my gril. The other day while I was driving though a downpoor I had just remembered it. However, there where no ill affects, no ses light, no drivabillity issues, nothing. Granted its not a strait shot from under the gril to the intake but i'm sure SOME water makes it in the air box. Do you think i'm slowly killing my car or does it not matter? You know, I should just buy a real intake and be done with it.

What you have done is fine! The FILTER WILL PRTECT FOR THE MOST PART.....BUT....You should put a screen in the bottom to keep some extra moisture out and don't forget about bugs! Other than that you should be cool!

If you're running a paper filter, you'll have problems. If it'* a K&N, you may just have to clean and re-oil it more often.
Ever heard of water injection? If not, read up on it.

you would have to be goin REALLY fast to get water up there. If you doubt us, stop the car after the next time it rains and see if the filter got wet.
