Is the area open for anyone to drive? Can I just go to Bonneville Salt Flats and say I want to drive around like a madman? I really need to do this.

To answer 03Bonny'* question, The QUICKEST Bonneville is in fact a member of this Forum. But the car is currently retired.

In fact, the TWO quickest are both owned and/or driven by INTENSE employees.

Silly question, does a front wheel drive car really need a wheely bar?

Yes... if you ever seen one of these cars launch at the track, you will know why. The whole *** end gets slammed down due to the crapload of low end torque the engine makes. Either trick the ELC, or put a wheelie bar on.

I haven't found on this forum how to trick the ELC. I've seen pictures of people halfway into their trunks with captions about them doing this, but I'm not really sure about the process.
