Wasnt sure what category this would fall under. I need to know everyones recommendations on what sorta pillar pod holder[??] can be used in a 02 SSEi. Are the ones from GPs 00 or newer interchangible or maybe a later GP. I know there was a discussion about this and someone fabricated them, but I thought there was some neg feedback on those. Need suggestions please. Oh, and dig the new sig pic

GP pods won't fit. Nobody makes a custom. Make your own from the universal pod. I have, and a couple others. After paint, it looks pretty good. Some have gone to the extreme and glassed them in.

Buy the universal 2 or 3 pod (black, usually at your local ricer outlet), heat it up, shape it, trim it, attach it. Paint to match. Mine matches better than this shows, the flash reflected off the pod funny. Most people can't tell:

Okay, good deal, now I want to run a Boost gauge, airfuel ratio and volt. That sound like a good combo. What makes it easy to hook it up. Im good around engines, but when it comes to wiring into something thats not a lightbar, im :?:

What'* wrong with the stock boost? I'd dump the boost from the Pillar and replace it with trans temp like I did.

Boost will tap into a vacuum line if you do it. Easy.
Volts can tap in anywhere.
AFR will tap into one wire of your front O2 sensor.
Trans temp will adapt to an existing hole in the trans.

Tie all three lighting wires back to a terminal on the headlight switch that has 12V when the parking lamps are on. I painted my lamps in the gauges red to match the interior. Use transluscent red paint from a hobby store (I already had some, the stuff they use to make candy apple red) or a gel cap.

Depends on whether you buy a mechanical or electrical gauge. Mine is mechanical, which means the 'tube' is filled with ether, and the sensor doesn't come off. So I had to route it intact through the firewall to a plug on the top of the trans just under the TB. There'* a pic around here somwhere. I had to adapt it with some brass fittings to get the angle right and miss a couple things.

I think an electrical gauge would work better. A remote sensor like your ECT or IAT sensor, then you attach to it. Makes routing easier.

Be advised I insulated the sensor/fittings, and used a crossover pipe heatshield to protect it from false readings.
