If you order it from somewhere I doubt it will get there before you leave. Try JC Whitney, then just do a google search. There out there, I have one for mine.

Are you sure you want one with your new paint? I have seen way too many hood tip protector do more harm than damage.
I'd suggest a contoured plastic bug deflector made to fit Bonneville'* like the one guy here who has one on his white 1992 or 1993 SSEi.
Do a search for bug deflector and you will find the guy and the link to where you can buy one -IMO it looks better than the hood tip cover too.

Bug deflectors for cars is like lowriding trucks, but just use the bra for highway use, and you will be fine. Maybe throw a layer of wax where the bra is gonna be. I agree, dont use it too much, like for every day driving though, it can leave some small marks, I know from first hand experience, but they buff off anyways. If you get the bra, get the full outfit that covers everything.

Yes, im sure that i wanted one... its just for my trip to boston to protect my baby from rocks. (esp since im not going to be driving her the entire way)

I got some plain black splash guards that will help a bit (autozone special).

Too late now.. never get one by tomorrow at 3.

I've run a Saddleman hood protector from JC Whitney for almost 2 years now, with no negative effects. Year-round. It'* all about prep, and using a good HARD shell wax beneath it. Wash the protector on the gently cycle before the first use, and keep it clean after that.

If you have good quality paint underneath, and you protect it with good wax, it'* ok. The problem is that you shouldn't wax new paint for awhile.

This is NOT true for the 2000 and newer aluminum hoods. Don't run one under any circumstances.

I agree with what'* been said. A car bra came with my Bonneville (plus a second one in the trunk), and when I took it off, there was a lot of scratches and missing paint along the edge of the bra, and more scratches all throughout.

That'* why I'm keeping mine on. Women or cars, topless is better , but I'm not driving around with a scarred hood.
