SSEi has no particular meaning. Its a representative trim level

SE, SLE, SSE, SSEi...but, the "i" means supercharged...its a long story, repeated many times, trust me tho, its has no specific meaning

Repeated many times where?? I can't find it on the message boards. Maybe someone can explain it? That name has always boggled the mind. how can "i" mean supercharged?? Isn't SLE supercharged as well? And the SSE?

Thanks for rehashing it Don, we are under the impression that the "i" stands for Inducted.

ie forced air (supercharger)

Anybody know why the BMW uses "i" as in 525i? How about 740iL? I think the "L" stands for "Long" but not sure about the "i."

I thought it had something to do with an Inline engine

Inline 6, but the 740 series is V8 or V12...go figure, but the L is for Long Wheelbase
