Please help ID this car...bonneville?
8 Attachment(s)
We had a burglar the other night and I got some good shots of his car. I could use some help from someone who knows Pontiac Bonnevilles well. I think this is a green Pontiac Bonneville with the gold wheels. I need help in confirming that it is indeed a Pontiac Bonneville, and deciding the trim level and year model.
Things I'm pretty sure of: Pontiac Bonneville, Green, Gold wheel insets. Four door. License plate on front. Emblem in front grill. Car has a third brake light in back window. It also appears to have a side turning signal just behind the front wheel (Can anyone confirm that bonnevilles have this? I cannot tell from internet pics). Here is the side turn signal in question: Attachment 17781 3rd brake light Attachment 17782 front lic plate with emblem in grill Attachment 17783 side views, note wheels Attachment 17784 Attachment 17785 Attachment 17786 Note mirrors: Attachment 17787 Attachment 17788 Sheriff is investigating as well, but any help I can give them in ID of the car will speed things up.........they do have murders/more serious crimes to investigate, so I understand a burglary isnt top priority. But, I want to get this guy. Thanks for any help in advance. |
looks like a late 90's early 2000 BMW to me
|
I'm with Steve, not a bonneville, shape is wrong, mirrors are wrong, tail lights are wrong.
|
definately a 3 or 5 series BMW. you can tell by the roll of the fenders at the wheel wells and the side profile of the doors and rockers
|
I'm thinking something like this.........

here is a clear pic of a late 90's 5 series BMW for comparison. (same wheels)

I appreciate it. no bonnevilles ever had a side turn signal on the fender unless they added it aftermarket |
bonnevilles also had a low mounted 3rd brake light ( mounted in the bottom center of the rear window 87-99 the 2000+ had it on the face of the decklid). from the brakes applied picture you posted the perps car has a high mounted 3rd brake light ( mount top dead center of the rear window if not roof mounted). there are no bonnevilles eve produced like that
|
youre right..........the 3rd brake light is high mounted. I just looked at the video.
I'll take a look at the late 90's 3 and 5 series to see if I can match the mirrors. These definitely come from the door, not up by the sidepost. |
so far almost all bmw's I've looked at have a low mounted 3rd brake light. The exception is a 2000 3 series sedan.
